The most common is Contact Form, so we will look at how to make this. The others can be built in much of the same way.

Click the Contact Form option and then Continue. The next window will ask you to fill in your form name and click Continue

As standard, Forminator will put all the fields in you will need. But if you want to add more form fields, click Insert Fields.

How to Protect from Bots Spamming when you create a contact form with Forminator

The frustrating thing about forms on your webpage is that bots spam your inbox through it. To protect your site from this activity, it is common practice to use Google’s ReCapture. You will have seen this on sites before where you need to select the squares that contain a sidewalk or traffic lights.

Google reCAPTCHA has a free and paid-for service which can be a little tricky to setup. Luckily Forminator has a free built-in option called Honeypot and this works similarly to ReCAPTCHA. Honeypot is less affective, but much easier to setup and this is why we think Forminator is great!

To activate Honeypot in Forminator:

  1.  Log into your Back Office
  2. In the left hand side panel click Forminator
  3. Click Forms
  4. Click the gear icon on the form you wish to edit
  5. Click Behaviour
  6. Click Security
  7. Enable Honeypot Protection.
